A fourth-generation Chicagoan, Dr. Krystal A. Lewis is a proud graduate of Morgan Park High School. Her high scholastic achievements allowed her to study at the prestigious Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. In keeping with her family tradition, Dr. Lewis obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee. Dentistry allows Dr. Lewis to impart God’s healing touch through the ministry of her hands. Her most valuable accomplishments are being the wife of Mr. Anthony Lewis for over 15 years and the proud mother of two daughters, Layla and Zaria. Dr. Lewis lives by a famous quote by fellow Chicagoan, Michelle Obama, who said, “I am an example of what is possible when girls from the very beginning of their lives are loved and nurtured by people around them. I was surrounded by extraordinary women in my life who taught me about quiet strength and dignity.” In her spare time, Dr. Lewis is the team lead for Fertility for Colored Girls, Nashville Chapter. As a board member of Demoiselle 2 Femme, Dr. Lewis’ goals are to increase and promote college scholarships and expand D2F to other states.
