D2F Impact Statement: “Demoiselle showed me the importance of being a devoted sister-friend, fully feminine and completely committed to God’s purpose for my individual life- lessons that have been able to guide me and comfort me through every stage of my life.”

Joslyn is a Chicago native and a proud product of Chicago Public Schools. After graduating from Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences she attended North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University to receive her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Agriculture Education. Joslyn later received her Learning Behavior Specialist 1 certification from North Park University. Working with children in multiple disciplines is her purpose. In addition to her years of teaching in the classroom, Joslyn has taught tennis and coached cheerleading to elementary school level students, coached high school track and field, and currently enjoys seeing the Alpha Chapter Demoiselles grow into amazing young ladies. Joslyn has a passion for reading and traveling. She believes that these are two of the greatest adventures someone can have, and she is in constant awe, wonder and excitement at where her purpose and passion continue to take her. As well as how it continues to put the next generation of girls and young ladies in her path. Joslyn’s desire is to share history with them while illuminating the future so that with each generation, women can reach higher, travel farther and grow together.
