Demoiselle 2 Femme
Demoiselle 2 Femme (D2F)—French for “Young Ladies to Women”—is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a legacy of more than 30 years serving girls across the Chicagoland area. With a mission to provide holistic services, education, instruction, and training, D2F empowers adolescent girls ages 13–19 to make a successful transition to womanhood.
Rooted in faith and driven by purpose, D2F has provided prevention and education programming to over 7,000 girls, challenging them to embrace their worth and wisely exercise one of life’s most powerful tools—the power of choice.
To date, D2F has helped over 1,000 girls become first-generation college graduates and awarded over 65K in academic scholarships. Our impact extends beyond programming; D2F is the founding or revitalizing force behind transformative initiatives, including the Coalition on Urban Girls, the HOPE Network of Schools, the Black Women’s Professional League (formerly 40 Under 40), and the Christian Guild, initially founded in 1945.
D2F also developed the 3-D Curriculum, an evidence-based, holistic model for youth development. Our alumnae are thriving in diverse fields, including STEM, law, education, social work, law enforcement, public service, finance, nonprofit and corporate leadership, and entrepreneurship, carrying forward the legacy of young ladies transformed into women of impact.
