According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), 1 in 4 teen girls are infected with at least one of the most common STDs which include HPV—an infection that can cause cancer.
What: The South Side Coalition on Urban Girls (SSCUG) is launching our “Girl…KnoW More” campaign to reduce STD infections among teen girls. Join hundreds of girls in learning how to be a part of the solution at our FREE RALLY! View campaign videos and commercials created by girls, hear from doctors who are concerned about your health, celebrate the winner of our “Sound the Alarm” contest, get answers, and receive free STD and HIV testing by DIVA iMAC John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital. Each girl will receive a tool kit to help empower five (5) friends to “KnoW More!”
When: Wednesday, May 27th, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
